JohnA
Anything that bypasses std security features is bound to be cool (read: have you asked your insurance company about this? )
terribleturner
A mate of mine did it to his *cough*Nova*cough*. Don't think it was too much of a problem, but then it was a nova p.s. Lime green
Terminator
Anything that bypasses std security features is bound to be cool (read: have you asked your insurance company about this? ) Very Chav too. Goes well with neon washer jets, fake disc inserts, and bolt on exhaust tips.
JohnA
They will refuse to pay in case of a claim, if they find out that the owner deliberately crippled a standard security feature of the vehicle. Insurance companies are getting quite good at avoiding payment, although they are happy to accept the premiums, lol...

tango
Hi there, just checking, can anyone tell me which and where are the 2 wire to tap in from the starter button on to the ignition? as I look behine the dash, there was a lot of wires......... cheers
Ark
There's only about four wires in the back of the key barrel. All you need to do is bridge the one for the starter with your button. Unfortunately I can't remember which colour one that is, but it'll already be spliced if you have an after market alarm.
tango
Hi there, when look down under the driver side foot wel, there is a white block with few wires on it, it that the one? unless I look at the wrong one, still need to know which 2 wire are for the starter. cheers
Ark
OK, the white block you want is directly attached to the key barrel, and there are five wires in there: - White - White with red stripe - Black with yellow stripe - Black with white stripe - Black with orange stripe If you can't see this clearly, you need to take more of the dashboard apart. You want to bridge the white to the black-with-white-stripe, but ONLY DO THIS IF YOUR STARTER BUTTON IS NON-LATCHING (it closes the circuit only while the button is pressed). This worked fine last time I did it. Disclaimer: I'm providing this information in good faith; it's up to you whether you follow it or not. If it all goes wrong, I am not to blame! If you aren't confident of what you are doing, make sure whatever you do is reversible somehow. If you still aren't sure, take it to an auto-electrician. Ark
Correct.
Sheefa
Got one on mine - came with it installed when I bought her in July. Obviously requires the key in the ignition anyway to start her up so pretty pointless in my opinion mate. Flash, maybe, but doesn't exactly contribute anything. Nice to not have to turn the key I suppose
