Nodalmighty
"MOTOR SPORT" prices, don't you just love 'um. Lyndon.
Nodalmighty
Saw this all first hand yesterday at Lyndons and i can see these selling nicely. Be like a Powerfc commandor but with 10 times the functions! Good work sir! Thank you sir, The two digital IO channels can also drive 0-5v analogue so we can use them to drive the Syvecs Traction Control and MAP table selection pins rather than separate twisty knobs. Lyndon. GlennK
For clarity - The unit can display 4 data streams at once e.g. EGT, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water temp? If so - stunning!
Nodalmighty
For clarity - The unit can display 4 data streams at once e.g. EGT, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water temp? If so - stunning! It could display 16 in text mode. But basically you can plug 3 screens in the base unit which talks to the syvecs and select what each one displays so it could display 48 streams over 3 screens theoretically. It can do dyno pull style graphs between rpms, Data logger style continuous graphs. I will most likely add a performance timer so you can practice the 0-60, 0-100, 1/8, 1/4 and standing mile etc. etc. There will also be a multi channel EGT for individual cylinder logging. This will give you an idea of the fuel distribution across cylinders and also any gradual injector disparity over time. On a Supra the remaining two channels could log temp across the inter cooler for efficientcy. I can make it do most things memory/my time to code it permitting. Lyndon. NOS
End of August is when they will be ready.
Nodalmighty
I have applied for a hobbiest trader account. Should I be successful and granted one I will post up prices and a proper write up. The first few prototypes will be ready for end of August/ Beginning of September. The screens will be a production item but the base computer will still be based on Vero board and flying leads rather than PCB and PCB mounted RJ45 and RJ11 sockets for the screens. The ZIF based wiring system plug will be available on both as will the optional Syvecs connectivity. I'm currently doing one for a member on here into a 2 gauge pillar pod, so I should have pictures of that soon.

GlennK
Hi Lyndon, as an early tester of your gauges I'm happy to support your application. Let me know when they're ready. Cheers.

Pressure Sensors should be with me by the end of the week. Once I have these I can do the calibration curves for all the sensors. I have also modified an earlier prototype screen (pre billet) to have the warning LED and that works a treat. Ryan came good with the replacement Syvecs before he went to Oz so I can also crack on with the Serial stream decoder too.

Nodalmighty
It would appear that the mono LCD modules have a serious white out in direct sunlight. Bit of a bugger since I designed the billet housing around these . However, I've decides Mono is gash and I'm going to go with OLED 65k colour, with nearly double the resolution, 2gb on board micro SD card and real time GFX processor. Fortunately these are the same size module (well smaller actually but the same visible area (This means I can do a proper 60mm gauge (I maybe able to do a 52mm one too as there is a smaller sister module). The other change is these will be ECU units only. Now Link have finally released the data stream spec I can support the 3 main Supra ecu's Syvec, AEM and Link G4 (or G3 with G4 firmware upgraded Ed ) Apologise to GlennK who is my first customer. I'm working out a short term solution for him going forward prior to going OLED.

Nodalmighty
No support for the Fcon? I know nothing about the F-Con. If it has a serial D-stream and documentation I can support it.

GlennK
Ryan's installing the S6 on Monday (6th) and will wire in the 4 sensors (EGT, Oil Temp & Pressure, Auto Fluid Temp). Then Tuesday will start the mapping process. Hopefully Lyndon will have the interim LCD solution soon. Fingers crossed!
Nodalmighty
Glenn, Hope the sensors arrived OK. Here is a link to the pinout for the pressure sensor : http://www.aisensors.com/PressureDataSheets/PT9.pdf I have now cracked the data stream on the Syvecs and got my unit talking to it and displaying stuff. GlennK
Great news, Lyndon - Paul W confirmed the sensors have arrived today. The pinout is to hook up the sensor to the S6, right?
