RobD
Had an airshow at Duxford today, was a nice day until towards the end when the weather started to turn! Couldnt get any pics of the airshow itself as my iphone camera wasn't up to it! Pics of the planes etc in the hangers...

RobD
And last but not least, Saddam Hussains golden Dragonov! Apparently this was recovered by a Para from one of his palaces in Iraq!
The-Plethora
Great pics, I would love to be that close to the SR-71, still the meanest looking plane that ever was

RobD
You really have to go there to be fair! Pics doesn't really do it, esp in the american hanger, theres so many planes in a hanger that you just cant physically get a decent pic of any individual plane/jet! I mean they have the b52 in that hanger where most of the pics have been taken, and most of the pics have the b52 in it, that thing is huge!! BazzaAlpine
I love that place. Really should get there more often. Did they still have the section for the 6 Royal Angian in the Land War Exibit? The A10 Warthog was always my fav plane, just something about the shear power of it. Now it's kind of that and the Eurofighter (cos it's pretty ). RobD
I love that place. Really should get there more often. Did they still have the section for the 6 Royal Angian in the Land War Exibit? Not to sure if i'm honest mate, i weren't feeling to good all day so didn't pay much attention just looked around a few hangers and watch the air show! The A10 Warthog was always my fav plane, just something about the shear power of it. Now it's kind of that and the Eurofighter (cos it's pretty ). Euro fighter was there on show all day but was grounded due to the ash cloud! My favourite along with the Vulcan bomber! It was touch and go all day for the jet powered planes but towards the end they got confirmation that the hawks and the hunter could go up, the hawk pilot had been walking around talking to people before and you could tell he was itching to get up there, when they gave him the go ahead he didnt hang about! The hunter and the black cats stole the show for me though, really good performance, the black cats are still the fastest helicopter ever at being able to exceed just over 200mph! I was a little bit miffed as they had posters up of a car show they had at duxford on the 2nd of may, a day of classics ranging from an e-type jaguar ( one parked in the car park today actually!) to a veyron! Didn't know anything about it!

RobD
Yeah it was a good day, although in a bit of pain now! Sun was out most of the day, got a real red face now, BUT due to me not noticing myself getting burnt, I had my sunglasses on, I now have 2 great big white patches around my eyes and the rest of my face in painful red!
