BazzaAlpine
Saw the first pic and thought well thats not too bad. Then I saw the second one O.O Hope everyone that was in the car is okay and that the tyre is the only damage.

Ian C
The sidewall damage would have been done by running the tyre flat, any tyre (apart from run flats haha) would have gone like that given enough time. I assume it took a while to find a safe place to stop. Those are very worn tyres anyway You know your grip is noticeably impaired well before the wear markers I'm assuming it's a rear tyre judging by the wear pattern. Might want to drop the pressure by 2psi to make it wear more evenly. -Ian
AndrewOW
One of the reasons why I didn't go to this year's Japfest was the cost and amount of time it took to get home from last year's show. I had a blow out at nearly 100leptons in the fast lane on the M4, and as I didn't have a 'usable' spare in the car, the road side services just dumped me and the car at the nearest motorway services and left me there. Seven hours later and £250, I managed to get home! Remember, keep your space saver in your car at all times, as if you breakdown on the motorway, you'll get points for being an obstruction, and your insurance is void. Luckily for me, I didn't see one cop car. Hope you had fun, anyway.

I will be looking to replace both rear tyres now as i expect the other one is just as bad.

Whitesupraboy2
unlucky, same as my tyre went. You got a puncture didnt realise and driving on it ripped it to shreads. I did the same to my tyre just before starting ripping apart...the tyre was boiling when came to take the wheel off!!
