Porky1978
Got my dead Corsa on ebay with a reserve of £500 and buy it now of £750. Had a few questions etc, then got this email, see what you think. Thanks for the mail, I will pay £900 for the Corsa.I fully understand the condition of what i am buying..i would have meet you in person but..............I am currently on the ship as i am a marine engineer and i want it before i get back into town...So i'll be paying you with my PayPal account,if my offer is accepted..Before i can make your payment through PayPal you will have to get back to me with the following information so that my pick up agent will come and pick up as soon as possible.Your Name and address,And your PayPal email ID You can also send me a money request through PayPal as well, Make sure you get back to me so that we can arrange for pick up as i will like the item to be picked,so NO SHIPPING Sound like a scam to you guys?? I am a bit wary.

trinitom
i don't see the problem here, you will get the money before he gets the car. unless he wants your address to get the car stolen! Just make sure you have enough time to clear the money on paypal acc.

Thats what I thought. Seems a bit dodgy to me that he is willing to pay more for the car that i am asking for on ebay! And he says he will get his 'agent' to pick the car up!! Didn't realise marine engineers had agents lol.

Snooze
I he was legit, why would he pay any more than £750. Really - why?
Scott
My guess is it will go a little something like this.... 1. Either you send him your email, or you send him a request for money. 2. You get an email a day later confirming that paypal has the funds and they are storing them securely for you to be sure the buyer has the goods. Once this is confirmed by a 3rd party agent they will be released to you. 3. Your car gets taken by the "Agent", you wait for the funds to be released to you. 4. You don't get any money, your car is gone and when you contact Paypal about the email they sent, about holding the money for you, they know nothing about it. Seems to be the scam doing the rounds at the moment. Please let common sense prevail here
swich
Ask him for his full name, ship name, and his platoon number. If he doesn't reply, its a scam.
