lads is it possible to run say 2x garret gt22 turbos as a upgrade rated at 280hp each. or would garret gt35r be better, i want to max the original uk set up ie 550 injectors/fuel system etc. am i right in saying that the original injectors will support 550hp.as i am at full bpu i need the turbo and the manifold and a clutch and remap. is this a silly cheap way to upgrade to get 500/550hp.i am thinking this should be enough for what i want the car for, can the uk original set up handle 550hp.

I think you'll find the 550 injectors will max out before 500/550 bhp. Also it might be worth replacing your pump. I know it's a UK spec but the chances are it's done near enough 100K miles, so will be towards the end of its life.

You'll also need a new downpipe to match up with the new turbo.

I wouldn't try Nigel .. better be safe than sorry.

You can keep you stock lines, but I would go for drop in's (something like 650cc). Plus, a replacement intank pump ain't that costy too.

To answer your question : SINGLE :D:d

No such thing as cheap 550hp ;)

As a bare min you would need injectors, pump, fuel controller and sensors, clutch, decent plugs, manifold, turbo/turbos, oil lines, downpipe, wastegate etc etc etc the list soon grows ;)

If your buying a pump a new OE is a good bet.

650cc drop in injectors and dampener bypass line

Map ECU or the like

HKS hybrids can do 500 to 550bhp.

Centerforce clutch forget RPS

and if you need an intercooler CW's would be a good bet.

Aviod going single if you can for that sort of power, I would.

Cheap way to a power upgrade, thats most likely going to be very reliable.

I'm not sure your OEM clutch will cope with 450+ bhp, even if new.

I'm still convinced that 650cc drop in's would be nice for 500+bhp.

If you consider a small turbo, I would go for the GT35R, as spool should be very nice and streetable.

when this one starts to slip i will go for centerforce or southbend clutch, really like the idea of small twins has it been done oh here, how dangerous is it to max out the injectors

During mapping, your mapper will tell you at what boost he has to stop in order to avoid maxing out the injectors.

You probably won't be taking the turbo to a reasonable boost, as there ain't enough fuel.
