BlackWatch66
Just done a brief search for recommended locking wheel nuts but to no avail, are these something I can get from Halfrauds (McGard?) and what type will I need ? I have Rota GTRs and its a Jspec TT (if that makes a difference?) plus I must be able to get them ASAP or 'off the shelf' as im going to manchester tomorrow for the weekend and I currently don't have any locking nuts on Any recommendations? Thanks Edited May 13, 2010 by BlackWatch66 (see edit history)

Chris Wilson
If you need a spare or replacement key from McGard the process is tortuous and involves going through them in Germany with all sorts of personal info. If you can buy a spare key with the nuts, do so.
BlackWatch66
So you would recommend McGard ? if so, is there a certain type I would need with my wheels? Thanks
Chris Wilson
I am not recommending nor condemning them, a locking wheel nut is a locking wheel nut, personally i wouldn't have them as a gift, they are a total PITA, like alarms. Just buy something that fits that has back up if you lose the key or a nut.
BlackWatch66
Thanks for your replys Chris, Does anyone know the size of the wheel bolts (m12 x 1.5 ?) or the mcgard code specific for the supra? the book in halfrauds is usless.... Chris Wilson
M12 x 1.50 pitch thread. Taper depends on what wheels you have, probably a 60 degree seat though. Stock rims use an entirely different seating nut, a tube nut and washer arrangement, if you have stock wheels the choice of locking nuts is limited.
