yea i see what you mean. but my q1uestion is still why have the largewr turbo feeding the smaller turbo and not the other way around,

 

i thaught the idea of compound charging was for the big boost with minimal lag, eg the small turbo spools the large turbo quickly?

Your right. Should be small turbo feeding the larger turbo.

 

If it was the other way around (like the pic) the larger turbo would take all the energy/pressure out of the exhaust gases/exhaust pulses even b4 it reaches the smaller turbo thus stopping it producing early boost correctly
