Guest van_damme_supra
hi, i was getting my dials out to fit my el-glo's and i saw this box attached to my speedo.. is it a speedo converter and does it meen if i don't put it back my speedo will be showing km/u? i know it sounds pretty stupid but i bought the car here in belgium and i don't know if it's in km or miles.. stevie_b
It looks very much like a speedo converter. With it, your car almost certainly reads in mph. Without it, it'll read in kph. You'd need to re-attach the speed signal wires though, basically returning the wiring to standard. I can post up a wiring guide for a DSC if you want, then you may be able to reverse-engineer it. Guest van_damme_supra
wait a minute, i think the el-glo's i bought in km/u are ment to be used an mph reader.. so if i would reverse-engineer it, i'd be messing it up.. i'll check first

stevie_b
I'm not familiar with the El-Glo so I can't advise on that. A schematic for wiring up a DSC is here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/dsc_speedo_mph.jpg
Guest van_damme_supra
yep, just checked it and when i put the kmh on the mph the 140 is on the 225 so problem solved, i don't have to do anything
