uk-rich
i know this sounds daft, but try ats on 08706000080, saved me £600 !
afreemason
Try hyperformance (i think) chuck it into google and it'll pop out - Motley's with them and if they'll insure her you've gotta have a chance ..........
salvatore
I was with hyperformance for a while (when i had my mk 3), but they actaully reffered me to Lifesure when i got the mk 4...
Steviekid
Give Direct Choice a buzz too. I'm "only" paying £530 fully comp at 24 with 3 points and 4 yrs NCD for Jap TT. 0870 1221
Homer
yep just spoke to dude called lee who said he'll get back to me...... anyone here on a "classic" policy?? what are the catches? Mate, you need to contact A-Plan special schemes. I know you can get hold of them from the Thatcham office. They're a different department to the rest of the company and you have to make sure you speak to someone from there to get a decent quote. They're VERY mod friendly. trooper
Got my renewal from Elephant and the premium has gone down. No explanation why but I'm not cmplaining.
Supragal
So you've not declared anything? Not even the ICE? that seems high. Just laugh it off and go elsewhere they're just trying it on. Seriously though, you should get quotes WITH mods because some companies will offer a good price on stock cars but then not cover mods and vice versa then you'll be back to square 1! JohnA
Hell, and I thought them quoting me £650 was taking the pi$$ What a racket...
AntD
Have you tried Admiral.I've read somewhere that they may be linked to elephant, but I got quoted £500 less with them. Also put someone else on with some NCB.I put my wife on and my premium went down with another £300.Do all this online because it will give you a chance to change some details on the policy before you actually pay for it. GeordieSteve
Ring 0191 549 4949 and ask for Jamie Dowson. Not sure who the company is but he quoted me £1100 with all mods and the misses as a second driver. I asked about big singles and he said they're fine with just about any mods

Dash Rendar
I was paying about £650 on a TT with Elephant (28, FNCD). I then declared the body kit and the wheels and the premium went up by over £100. Unfortunately, although the premium went up, Elephant won't replace modified components. They'll only replace with stock parts. So, you need to be a bit careful! So I will be looking elsewhere when my renewal comes up.
Guest Sakura
I had been with LV for 7 years, but they increased my premium by £100 this year so I told them :thumbdown I have just found that although Sky gave me a really good quote, £100 less than LV, Lifesure beat them by another £50! Lifesure are specialist import insurers, with guaranteed lifetime NCD protection, courtesy car etc etc, so worth a try when shopping around. colsoop
Got my renewal from Elephant today and mentioned that i am unemplyed and they have increased my premium by £200 i had a whinge and they have brought it down to just under a grand , i am waiting for a quote from the club insurer at the moment Legal robbery :thumbdown
JohnA
Got my renewal from Elephant today and mentioned that i am unemplyed and they have increased my premium by £200... You told them that you're unemployed? WTF... Did they explicitly ask you? Even so, this is not something they can verify anyway, or use it as an excuse to avoid paying (as they would do with undeclared modifications). nismo_lp
after getting quotes of around £1200ish i just rang adrian flux and guess how much they want.... over £3000! fooking idiots!
toyo rob
Thats quite a bit cheaper than mine... I was 22 when took out policy, 5yrs NCB but 3 points for yellow light offence mine is 1600 a year. Have you any points (if you dont mind me asking) cos £400 extra for 3 points sounds excessive, especially as ive 2 extra yrs NCB. no i got the same, 3 points uped my elephant renewel from 12 to 1600 rob
