Guest jamietypeR
Alright guys been thinking of getting a auto supra for now n then maybe in a years time changing it to manaul. Is there any difference in the engine between manual n auto and if I buy the gear box how much does it cost for the conversion? Cheers
michael
The search button will yield all the answers you crave including prices on conversions and some information on what gets swapped out. In summary though the engine isn't significantly different (just a few minor differences that won't be an issue in a conversion) and you are looking at £1500 > £3000 for a conversion usually depending on who does it, the parts you use and the type of clutch you go for. Guest jamietypeR
Cool cos I've been contimplating over getting an auto n changing it to manual, or buying n na n dropping in the twinturbo engine, but not sure which one would be the better buy/ option
Rich8v
How much are you looking at spending? Because If i were you, I would be looking at getting a mint facelift Na 6 speed and then convert that to tt.
Chris Wilson
The best option is saving if needed, and buying a factory built car that doesn't need converting.
Porky1978
Dont build anything that you can buy in my opinion. Just get yourself a decent 6 speed tt to start with and in a years time go big single.
Guest jamietypeR
The thing is I only have £6500 to £7000 to spend on a car, but really want a tt supra
Chris Wilson
The nicest TT I have seen in the last 8 or so months cost the owner 5K, bought privately, by shopping around with cash in hand. You should be able to get a stunner for that sort of money. You need to travel and be a good bargainer (read ruthless and able to walk away when you REALLY want to buy it)
Snooze
I agree. £7k should get you a manual TT these days.

fuldhat
I never understood this "I only have XXXX £/$ whatever to spend, but I really want something good ect." Then wait a few months and put aside some more money, then you will have more to spend.
