Luxluc
Thanx for all the advice guys. Paul told me earlier the 88/75 is smaller than the 91/79 so not sure how thats making 700ish bhp. The 91/79 seems to produce 610-650bhp. Went to see Lee today and saw gaz's bw300 unit which looks huge. My ideal would be the billet 67. After that something from BW producing circa 700hp, along the lines of the s366 with the larger .91ar. Going to do some digging with AET for more info on the right unit. What cams are you going for? I don't think you'll get 610 bhp on stock cams with the 91-79 unit.. even with high boost settings.
JamieP
Going off topic here a little i still think a correctly spec'd set of twins will out spool and power a ST setup, just needs somebody to get it right. I was over at MRC the audi tuner a few days back, looking at some of there dyno graphs for 700+bhp RS4's they murdered my billet 67 graph for spool and power in the lower rev range and just beat my 730bhp graph for outright power as well , thats with less cc than i have as well, pair of porsche kkk turbos, the graphs certainly looked impressive and was from SRR. JamieP
I never asked and he never mentioned they was.

Spoken with paul whiffin and AET today and all say this turbo can touch on 700hp. Ive got stock cams but a greddy inlet manifold and Q45 TB. I hope it does perform as i've been advised ... JamieP
I will be supprised if you do 700bhp with stock cams mate, i could not get mine over 630bhp on stock cams, and that was strangled, if you want more than 550bhp cams is a good upgrade imo. Ricky49
Cams are my next purchase next to push it a bit further. I would of liked your old ones if I had been quick enough. My be a uprated head.

Ricky49
How much power do you want. Your first post was a quick spooling turbo with minimal lag. Now you want 700hp with any turbo to reach that your going to be laggy.
Jamesy
lol - that was the main reason for the thread tbh - trying to strike a balance between the two mate. i know i can get a HUGE turbo with massive lag, but i would much rather a quick spool with as impressive bhp as poss. 650ish would be great. (700 is greedy!) something like jamies billet 67 - best of both worlds but the bigger BW turbos like the 91/79 seem a close match
Steve
If you can hang on for a bit before ordering, I will be getting my 88/75 fully mapped ASAP. So you can see the results from that
Jamesy
thanks mate - i believe Gaz6002 just had his dyno'd tonight with the same turbo - i'll let him reveal the results what bhp did yours make previously on that turbo on the 570lbs run? JamieP
but the bigger BW turbos like the 91/79 seem a close match Is your manifold divided? the 91/79 is open but the 88/75 is divided.
Ricky49
I'm like you mid 600's but the lag isn't an issue for me. The games always changing next month there will be a new super dooper turbo that spools 500rpm sooner than the best at this present time. Jamesy
Is your manifold divided? the 91/79 is open but the 88/75 is divided. this is my manifold here mate currently with Lee - http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=1032 stupid quesion, but what difference does the divided/open give? That manifold is divided, the T4 flange has two ports instead of one large open one. You can run what ever turbo you want with that manifold, its not a good idea to put a divided turbo like the 88/75 on a undivided manifold, the center of the T4 flange gets to hot and breaks up. imi
i know i can get a HUGE turbo with massive lag, but i would much rather a quick spool with as impressive bhp as poss. depends whom you are trying to impress. Good to see many choices on the market for all sorts of requirements and budgets. I am really glad with my choice as its perfect for a daily driver city car. imi

Thanks mate, good to know!! i think the 91/79 comes with a .91 divided a/r - just hoping it would produce the kinda power its promising!! Yup, i did hear they are bringing out a 1.10 divided ar for it, i think that may be a good turbo, whats putting you off using the GT35? That's at SRR, in full 'quiet' spec. I'll post up the graph when I get it.
