Jamesy
Hi guys just got couple of quick questions re the a/r housing on a turbo: 1. If a turbo has blown (bearings collapsed) will the exhaust housing still be ok to use on a different turbo? 2. Is the a/r housing size just written on the air filter side of the turbo right? 3. And is the exhaust housing part just the outside bit, that has four holes to bolt it to the manifold? Thanx in advance
CarlT67
I can answer question 2 for you, on my Precision turbo the a/r is written on the exhaust housing.
hodge
1). Yes if the bearings are blown the turbine homusing should be ok. 2). The a/r should be wrote on the turbine housing (exhaust housing somewhere) but odviously models vary. 3). Yes the exhaust housing (turbine housing) is the outside bit, it's cast and bolts to the manifold and to the downpipe. The core goes inside with the compressor housing on the front.
