manual engine into an auto car

Not sure the NA autobox will handle the torque, also there is some wiring differences between the NA and TT autobox and not the sort that can be gotten around too easily.

You would need the torque convertor and flex plate, but mechanically it shouldn't be a difficult job.

I was thinking of buying the engine Nicolai has for sale or there's another one that i got offered too. Aparently it's everything i need for a na-tt conversion. But it's from a tt 6 speed.

I'm pretty sure if you have a good tt6 loom, someone doing a auto/manual conversion the other way would swap.

If you get an auto TT box, loom and ECU then it should be a fairly straight forward install, and I would DEFINITELY suggest that route.

Suggest? :innocent: Require is more like it :D I know you were understanting it though ;)

TT looms seem to be incredibly difficult to source and do not count on the breakers to be able to supply one. The auto looms work on the 6spd but not vice versa so are in very short supply.

If possible try and get a package, it will be a real pain to patch a TT auto into an NA auto without everything included in one go. They can be retro-wired but you need to really know your way round the loom wiring and Toyota docs to do that.

I wouldn't be doing any of the work my self. Was hopeing to get one of the traders on here to do it.

The engine that Nicolai is selling doesn't have a loom. But the other one has a full loom and ecu etc. Here is a list of everything that he's going to give me:

:Complete Block Head

6-Speed Getrag gearbox

Clutch Fly wheel assembly

6-Speed Rear Differential with Axel's

ECU

Uncut wiring harness

Igniter chip

Sensors

Twin turbo

Exhaust manifold

Down pipe

Intake manifold

Injectors

Alternator

Starter

Power steering pump

A/C compressor

If you get a manual engine and want to run it with an auto box you MUST take out the spigot bearing in the back of the crankshaft before trying to mate it to the auto box!!

He will love trying that!!!!!:search: Should we tell him the little 'trick' for getting them out???:innocent:
