supRo
Sorry guys, more braking questions (due to Nic's group buy!) Does anyone have this setup - Front UK, Rear standard Jap? Is braking drastically improved by changing the jap fronts only to UK? Or is braking performance significantly increased when you only change both front and rear japs to UK? Thanks, Ro
CJ
The majority of the braking force is through the fronts (roughly 80-20 IIRC) so yes, you would se a significant benefit. As for whether you should use UK with J-spec, well, ideally you would change both at the same time but there are have been several members here who have run the UK fronts with J-pec rears and have not reported any adverse effects. Jake
More than several, there's loads of us running with UK fronts and J-spec rear brakes. It really does make a big difference to stopping power. Go for it Ro, you won't be disappointed.
Chris Wilson
You should cahnge both front AND rear to maintain a proper brake balance. If the ABS is working it will help stop too many dramas, but the front only UK swap will never work properly.
