Cheap Celica Convertible

The Celica has just over 140k on the clock, and to be fair it's visible. It's a 1991 japanese import, with a little paperwork, but no service history to speak of.

The car has just over 4 months tax, and the MOT runs out today. Except for the exhaust blowing on one of the joints, i cant really see it failing on anything (All tyres appear to be legal, theres no obvious deterioration to the fuel/brake lines etc)

It's been written off at some point (insurance cat-D) however this appears to be purely cosmetic. I've inspected the car allover and can not see any signs of structural damage or repair. I'm more than happy for any prospective buyer to have it fully inspected.

Cosmetically the car ideally needs a bit of tidying. I've already replaced a badly sprayed light cover (the original will be included) and will be including a replacement passenger side door, as i took the paint back due to it bubbling up, and it's not worth repairing

The front passenger side wing has some crazing, although I may be sourcing a replacement wing for it. The rear passenger side wing has a key mark, which has been touched up but not very well.

The electric folding roof functions perfectly, however it has a small hole in the rear screen.

Mechanically ther car is excellent. It drives completely straight, and the power steering and 4 wheel steering make the car nimble and very easy to manouver. The exhaust is blowing at the rear joint, which should be a straight forward fix.

The leather interior is worn, with a hole in the drivers seat bolster. There is no stereo in the car, although it's fitted with the optional factory upgraded sound system so comes with 2 amps under the passenger seat and rather large front speakers.

I'm selling as i've already got my MK1 Golf project on the go and just seem to be neglecting this, and the Golf has a webasto roof so I have no need for a convertible.

These cars go for between £1500-£2500 when in good condition, so I think £750 to forum members is fair.

Infact, if someone wants to take it by Friday without an MOT i'll let it go for £650 STRICTLY FORUM MEMBERS ONLY!

This would make an excellent project for someone, even to make a bit of money on if you're into DIY.

I'll be sticking it on Ebay next week, but I'd like to give forum members first refusal.
