Wez
Why the feck have they run the remote oil filter all the way over to the other side of the engine bay As already mentioned, get a specialist local to you to check it over. There is a reason the 2JZ-GTE has a good rep for being a strong motor, when its looked after and treated correctly they are bomb proof, not many stock engines can take 750hp on a daily basis, but as with anything there are limits and stupid advice from less well informed sources can soon ruin the rep, we almost had this exact problem a while back with an unnamed garage and shoddy workmanship Listen to the advice you are being given

Nic
The Power FC for the Supra is discontinued, they sometimes come up second hand though. I'd decide who's going to be doing the mapping and go with their choice in ECU. You might want to contact Ryan.G on here who has mapped a lot of members cars. Gaz6002
Bit off topic here but how much do you guys think a PFC would be worth these days (second hand)?
skyludeboy
if you got one will you sell it to me cheap
Gaz6002
if you got one will you sell it to me cheap The trouble is, it's on my car! I've been after a more comprehensive ECU for ages (I want more functionality) but can't justify the price of a new one. For that reason, your offer would have to be quite high before I consider selling my existing one (close to the price of a Syvecs and mapping ). Sorry I can't help more, might be worth a PM to Ryan.G though to see what he suggests.

I'm waiting for a quote on the bits I'm after, but I'll need another stand-alone unit for my car (single turbo, 850cc injectors). You might have more luck looking on the Japanese Yahoo auctions TBH, the price I'm going to quote will be eye-watering

Ricky49
You need to get this car to a supra specialist and get them to have a once over. There a few in the south Whifbitz, AFR etc and while your there get your brakes looked at because if you want to use the potential that turbo has your going to want to be able to stop . skyludeboy
I did a compression test today showed 170psi accross all 6 so Im pleased with the result, brakes wise they are j spec supra fronts, trying to either source uk spec 4 pots or stick some r33 gtr brembos up front and get rid of the abs
