They look like stainless steel EGT sensors, which would be, err, brave of you, if they are ;) When is this going to fire up, I think you're frit in case it goes bang again, and are just dragging it out ;)

 

Seriously though, looks a nice job, how much longer to vroom vroom day?

i just ordered the ones ryan told me to get..

 

running early march i guess ;-)

They are inconel Chris, good to 1300 c

been a little bit quite - waiting on some new parts etc..

 

but engine is built now and turbos are on and its now ready to be put back were it belongs..

 

need to clean up the silicones hoses etc (but thats the next job).

 

6X egt sensors all fitted with the new greddy cast manifolds and new manifold covers.

 

my aim is to have it running some time next week..

 

once its ran for a a little bit then we will pull out the AMS alpha 12 fuel system out and tweek it.

 

then we will fit the S8 Ecu and begin testing,.

 

also to come some DSS axles and gearbox braces coming next week to fit aswell.

I believe the fuelling is a bit uneven across the six cylinders, maybe to see if one is running weaker and thus hotter? Good to see Greddy have seen the light and gone cast with their later turbo manifolds. I still say you are frightened of it blowing up again and are just postponing the day when you have to map and use it ;)

i think ryan did some test on stock motor and found some bizzare readings over centre cylinders...

 

but you are right mate i am worried..

 

but this S8 does give me confidence..

 

i will be able to use a full controlled boost range aswell..
