marc_p
It looks like it should be quite good, he can produce some very funny films.
stevie_b
I haven't watched the trailer (yet) but I quite fancy that. I've liked Chris Morris' previous work. Edit: just seen the trailer, I think a trip to the cinema is in order!

garethr
Ever laughed at a mickey take of Adolf Hitler, or Stalin, or Idi Amin? The targets of Chris Morris's film are rank amateurs next to them. Taking the piss is a time-honored response to "the enemy". I'd bet there were songs and cartoons taking the mick out of Napoleon, or the Spanish Armada. tbourner
From the news link I thought it was a bit sick, but then the trailer shows it just looks very funny! I'd watch it.
JustGav
WW1 and 2 propaganda videos anyone?? I'm of the camp that say if you don't like it, don't watch it. I don't particularly agree with the subject so more than likely won't watch it.
stevie_b
Making terrorism a taboo subject (this is very different from it being a taboo act) is IMO not helpful: it promotes the fear of terrorism itself, which is what terrorists want. I'm guessing this film parodies the efforts of would-be terrorists, thus helping to reduce the fear surrounding it from paranoia down to rational levels. The victims and their relatives of the 7/7 attack are upset about it. I can see why, but I don't think that's the correct response. Easy for me to say because I wasn't involved, but pushing the subject of terrorism underground can only make things worse.
RedM
I've actually seen Four Lions. While the main characters are potentially suicide bombers the whole film is more Men Behaving Badly than anything else. It is very funny. The guys are incredibly inept and, if you were to actually watch it, you'd realise that Chris Morris and team have really done their research and, also, that the film doesn't really mention anything controversial re: Islam, Allah etc. It doesn't actually paint the characters as evil. They're more like any four blokes that get together and p*ss around. Of course the whole kneejerk reaction BS from people who don't have a clue is exactly what Morris has been taking the p*ss out of for years. Remember Brass Eye? Cake? Nonce Sense? See the film so that you can have a valid opinion.
Rob
Is it out yet? The trailer had me in tears of laughter. "Not too small brother, big hands" and I'm sure he says "I'm gonna turn you into baked beans"
JustGav
Hmmm, just watched the trailer...I'm going to retract my previous statement, and say I'll give it a viewing

Alex
Off on a tangent: Why do the terrorists themselves produce those stupid video's about their beliefs...I couldn't give a toss what they think when they are dead already. Have I missed the point? It's not like their estates can earn money from releasing material after they've "died" like all the Rappers do... You're dead, your opinion doesn't count....or did you send in a postal vote before the end? Any film taking the piss out of terrorists is good imo. Wonder if someone will Jihad Chris Morris now...Their going to be busy with Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Chris Morris to murder!
penguin
watching it

Gaz6002
This film is part of what makes England such a fun place to live. In the face of international unrest and financial hardship, laugh. It's the British way.
