jimojameso
The question is...will you now drive slower through that section just in case they are there again? Ha ha yes i will so i suppose its done its job
rick001
For the record, none of the money collected from any byproduct of law enforcement now goes direct to the Police Force who issued the ticket, fine etc.. All money goes to central Government and is absorb somewhere, but not necessarily to the policing budget (probably goes to Europe somewhere for some service I should be grateful about!!). Policing pay is not performance related!! At least you got caught by a chap with a speed gun. Better than a GATSO? Why is this mate?
Snooze
Getting caught by a guy hidden with a gun is "Random Road Tax". Getting caught by an enormous, prominent yellow box at the side of the road is "Stupidity Tax".

stevie_b
So let me get this right...there were five cars, 6-8 officers, some pigs, a cucumber and a goat...? I'm sure I've seen that video on redtube.

tbourner
I'm sure the other 6-8 officers could have been being used to something a lot more productive than this, SURELY. Did you ask them? Someone asked my mate when he pulled them for not wearing a seat belt, it was the old "why don't you go and arrest some real criminals?". He radioed in and asked if there were any outstanding murders or rapes in the area and got a reply of 'negative'.
Supra Gaz
The police don't get the money at all, it goes to the road safety institute which then waste it on advertising and little key rings or kids. Of you feel you can contest it on the way the ticket was filled in, fine. But they will have you in court...
