what offset wheels are needed for veilside wide arches

we are building a customers car and he now wants veilside arches front and rears..

 

 

am i right in thinking we need 9j and 10j..? or bigger ?

Normally 12J on the rear with a crazy offset, Jamie would be the man to ask as he had them with big wheels.

Yeah 12" rears for veilside fenders, i cant remeber the offsets now, Ibrar supplied them so im sure he would know.

And buy some wheel bearing kits too, you'll need them with the sort of offset to fill arches like that

I remember reading there are 2 sizes of Veilside over fenders, small and large. Blackie did a fair bit of research on that I think.

Smaller ones require 13" with a stock offset.

The smaller ones widen the car 25mm per side the larger ones widen the car 60mm per side.

 

Smaller ones require 12" wide wheels on the rear.

So for the bigger arches, i.e. the 60mm ones, what kind of size and offset are you looking at? I have seen 18x13J et-04 would they work?

It all depends on what the client wants from the car. I wanted the handling to be good but still fil out the arches. Dusty at MVP recommended volk racing on 11inch rear and 9.5inch front . They sit fine on both cars and i dont run stupied tyre sizes . 295*30*18 at the rear with R888 or 315*30*18 with pilot sport .

 

I have full rubber contact on the road with this setup and my tyres are flush with the wheel edge. Handling is great, shame about the driver ...who is crap...lol
