Red BHP Show, YOU PRAT

The Raven

Recommended Posts

Well mate i hope you read this.

You and your R8 mate are total a*sholes. There was a clear que to enter the show one i had been sitting in for a good half hour. When i saw you come speeding down the other lane all the way to the enterance.

You then blocked the carrage way until the police forced someone to let you in. I looked for you on the day to remark on your amazing driving skills. However i could only see your mrs? in the car and im not about to shout at a women. When i returned you seemed to have moved to the other side of the paddock.

With anyluck you are not a memeber as i would expect better. BTW i was in the silver aero top shouting at you as you went in.

It's just a shame that people can't just get along and use both lanes while moving forward and allowing cars to filter. Unfortunately the rude and fans of sitting in queues despite there being an empty lane seem to disagree.

Having said this at least once a week someone goes past 2 lines of traffic near my house using the hard shoulder and gets let in, that's not right.

That winds me up on motorways or dual carigeways when its coned down to 2 or 1 lane, i move over now and block the lane like the truckers do.

They shall not pass :D

Devil's advocate: If everyone used both lanes and merged-in-turn at the bottleneck, then the problem fixes itself and the resulting 2 lanes into 1 queue become 100% fair. :p

Totally agree but that doesnt work in real life and you end up trying to barge your way in as the lane of traffic closes nose to tail to stop you.

Is this actually covered in the Highway code ? if it is ive no idea what it says lol

Indeed, humans are very selfish things.

where lanes are restricted due to road works, merge in turn

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Highwaycode/DG_070308

You should follow the signs and road markings and get into the lane as directed. In congested road conditions do not change lanes unnecessarily. Merging in turn is recommended but only if safe and appropriate when vehicles are travelling at a very low speed, e.g. when approaching road works or a road traffic incident. It is not recommended at high speed.

The problem is when you approach the warnings that a lane is closed, lets say for arguments sake the 3rd lane on a motorway, too many people in the middle delibrately drive right on the guy infronts bumper even before the traffic is building up thus preventing the gracefull merging off the 2 lanes.

Just like at T junctions or anywhere else where a bit of courtesy is required, driving these days is a free for all and just like the rest of our lives too many dont give a xxxx about anyone else.

The issue was and is, The turn to the track is from a duel carrage way. They had allowed one side to be blocked up with the cars waiting to get in.

This CUNT clearly saw the que and thought not for me, bypassed the whole lot then blocked the other lane full of people trying to go past the show until someone let him in.

Yes matt i do feel a bit better now ta

Hold on, there was a 2nd queue and I used it, I really don't see what the issue is, and you shouldn't be calling me names without knowing who I am!

LOL.

Its not you. And if it was i would call you all the names under the sun.

Secondly there was no second que...............

Not a fan of queing myself, and as long as what was done was not in contravention of the highway code and not dangerous then seems like a it was a nifty move. It would however have annoyed me if I had been sat in a que for half an hour and not thought of doing it first.

Is going in the right hand lane approaching a round about then doing a loop all the way around and taking your desired exit on the second loop illegal? Thats another one you see a lot of and can sometimes annoy if you are in the que to turn left. But simply if it is in contravention of the highway code I dissaprove, if not then surely the driver is just choosing the most efficient route to get to his destination.

There's nothing wrong with that, and I do that myself, especially if the right hand lane is lighter with traffic. :)

I think there's a big difference between these two things.

The first is done by the selfish, the second by the impatient.

"Selfish" is to nicer a word really, thier ignorant tossers who most likely feel to important / hard to que like everybody else, and I'm sure wouldn't even think of jumping a que in a shop or at a pub when you have to look people in the eye.

The copper was in the wrong as well for letting him in, I'd have tasered him at the very least.

Right,

This guy and his R8 mate blocked duel carrage way. That is against the law? The police had allowed for one lane to be used to stack the traffic the other was to be left clear for other road users to br able to carry on using the carrage way.

What this little nob did was ignore the stacking system over take a good 100 cars in the que and then stop in the other lane until he was let in. I might add that he had 4 lorrys stuck behind him before the police told someone to let him in.

So unless you say that stopping in the fast lane of a public duel carrage way is a "nifty move" I stick by my first thought that the guy is a total tool.
