far
Well the 5 series is sold and I thought I would go for what is probably the sexiest 4 door on the planet (well maybe the new 4 door porker gets close) Its a fully loaded CLS 320 CDI (AMG SPEC less the engine) and will be putting out 270hp+ onces its been to DMS to get remapped. It has heated & vented seats, paddeshift 7G auto, Keyless Go, Command, TV and all sorts of other goodies Bought it from Mercedes who would only drop the price by 1k picked her up for 24k

johnny g
It's not the 270bhp that'll make you smile, it's the 400+lb/ft
far
Cheers Lads - thew new shape mercs are looking good nowadays and the electrical gremlins from the early 2000's seem to be getting ironed out It's not the 270bhp that'll make you smile, it's the 400+lb/ft good point! I heard the DMS tuned CDI churns through tyres like a mother f*cker
Miguel
Very smart, and much better looking than the Panamera.

My 530d was remapped but I had it for less than a year so didt really make any notes on long term longevity (it was done within safe limits btw)

far
Cheers! I've done over 100,000 miles on my car with the DMS map. It's brilliant cool - thats reassuring - do you remember how much they charged for the map and did they RR it for before & after figures? I am maybe thinking Celtic tuning, Superchips or AMD as they seem like cheaper options offering similiar BHP gains, any reason you chose DMS over the other tuners? Abz
Lovely CLS! My friend has a CLS500 which he puts out on hire, driven it a few times & with the custom box he has put on it the V8 howl is just amazing. Also one of the gadgets I love the most is when you take a corner the seats tighten up to support you in place, depending which way you turn! far
i'm worried that the 'Keyless go' system will leave me forever paronoid as to whether the car is lockd or not - as clarkson said 'how do you know ever know its locked'

I know exactly what you mean, I put in £50 thinking that would be enough for poodling around the city to get a few things done but with some spritied driving I was seeing 12-15mpg! Not that I was complaining with bellow sound from the exhaust. Like you say, with having the SL their isn't really a need.
