Speedo converteer & power steering

Recently I discovered the converter used in my MR2 import was an inferior model which sent a converted signal to the power steering, meaning it was too light when driving at speed.

Decided to take the Supra dash apart today and found the same type of device fitted. I assume with the unit I have that the wire which is connected to the pink wire from the ODO which feeds the power steering, cruise and ECU is actually feeding a converted mph signal and thus interfering with the progressive steering.

In the attached diagram (note, I do NOT have a TRL device), I have taken the original ODO blue/red input, loom side which is no longer used, as it's taking the signal from the converter device, and connected it directly to the pink wire next to it, which feeds the PPS, ECU etc. I've then connected the ECU output direct to pin 2 on the ECU, which I assume removes the limit (or more likely converts it to 180MPH). I'm trying to ensure the original KPH signal is routed to the PPS.

Does this sound OK? went for a drive and had no error lights etc. Steering felt the same around town, but possibly heavier at speed on the dual carriageway

Any comments on this wiring? sorry if it's not very clear

cheers
