jim
Does anyone know if the shape of the lense on a pre-facelift set of headlights is exactly the same as the lense on a set of facelifts? I'm about to do the clear headlight conversion, and have bought a donor set of pre-facelift lights to use to cut out the lense from (and keep the lip to use with the clear lense). I'm then going to put the lip and lense onto my facelift lights. I've had the lenses off my facelifts before to refurb them in the past. I've got the lenses off the donor set, but looking at them I don't think they're exactly the same around the lip (where they sit into the light casing). There are a few curves, one along the bottom edge and one on the outside/indicator side edge that don't look familiar. I could take the lense of my facelifts to compare them if no-one knows, but it's a bit of a hassle.
DaveR
I doubt this has been done before, so your best option may be to do a comparison. I'm sure that with a bit of fettling and, uh, persuasion, the lens could be made to fit if it's not identical!
jim
Aye, I'm going to end up splitting my facelifts again to make sure, better that than firing on and finding out too late that they don't fit I suppose.
