bigsup69
I have just bought a bosch 044 fuel pump and the fitting kit off paul but im unsure on how to go about fitting it in the tank and what needs to be modified to do so. I know the hanger needs to be modified but can someone tell me exactly what needs to be done? Also what extra bits do i need to fit the pump as ive tried searching this with little success. I do a full fitting kit for this pump that comes with everything for installation if needed. You have to cut the metal fuel feed pipe down as the pump is a lot longer. There is a picture of this done in jamiep's project thread somewhere from when I did it.

mwilkinson
Just seen this thread and have a couple of questions. I have one of these to fit into the tank. I also have the filter and adaptor. It comes with a rather awkward bank fitting. My questions are, can this be replaced with something that goes straight up to the pipe? Do I need to uprate the wiring to the pump seeing as it draws more current? Do I need to get any specific in tank wiring to make it safe? Also I don't have nuts for the contacts on the pump. Can I just use a regular stainless nut or do I need to get something specific? I have had a search but have found conflicting views.
