markybhoy86
i have noticed the amber oil light coming on now and then while i drive, i have checked the oil level and it has oil in it, recently had a oil+filter change. somtimes if i sit on a kerb drivers side down it will come on and occasionally when i am cruising on the motorway it will pop on for 10secs then go off :S any1 have any ideas what can cause this? i know low oil can, i have a pressure gauge which hasnt been reading any different than usual. could the switch/sensor b on the way out? cheers mark
Purity14
Could be the actual contacts on the right hand side display? If you have the means, you could test one of your friends upper dash display panel?
markybhoy86
i did have the dash out to fit my el-glo dials, could i have done somthing to the wires?a hate things like oil lights comin on cause a cant afford to wreck an engine lol
Purity14
Cant imagine so; its just a connector block - but they are known to fail inside. Do you have any local supra friends? IMO its worth just swapping it over before going down the sensors route as its a 10 minute diagnosis, and could save you some money.

Terminator
i did have the dash out to fit my el-glo dials, could i have done somthing to the wires? This sounds like the cause, check all your connections behind the dash for starters. Until you find the cause, keep checking the oil daily, just to be safe.
