Newbie N/A Tuning Xorst & Filter

Hello all.... I have done a little searching & it seems that the only really benefit to be gained from a n/a car come from straight through exhaust & filter!! Am I right? :help:

I believe there are two cats thus making the standard exhaust quite restrictive right? So what system should I be looking at to get best power gains!? Although I want a system that sounds nice, I dont want it to be too loud from inside the car as I wanna be able to hear my tunes & not get brain ache on motorway journeys! :ecstatic:

Any help & recommendations would be gratefully recieved!!

The aftermarket air filter is only good for making the car sound faster, it actually decreases power a little.

Yes, two cats as standard.

Decatted NA Supras with a straight through exhaust are incredibly loud, much more so than a deatted TT.

Is there such a thing as buying a centre de-cat that has a resonator built in, i only ask cos with the scooby, you could buy the centre de-cats with and without to reduce any 'booming' when cruising on the motorway (or at speeds with similar revs). Either one gave the same eperformance increase.

Just curious...

Well I dont really want it that loud it would annoy me,....... So Im guessing there is no way around it then!?? If you want an unresticted Exhaust then its noisy all the way!?? Otherwise a standard exhaust which is restrictive!??

Arggh!

You could leave the second cat in, this will help deaden the noise a little. Or get a custom decat pipe made with a silencer in place of the 2nd cat.
