JustGav
Looks like it is the season for it... My renewal on the 'scrap-it' racing van isn't what I would class as 'with-in inflation rates'... Nothing has changed, re my points/accidents, so my circumstances are the same.. Last years price, £410... this years renewal £1145, and the woman actually managed to keep a straight voice when she said 'So sir, do you wish to proceed with this'.......... Incredible.... Purity14
This has happened to me on my BMW Year One: £780 (3YR NCB Age 24) Year Two: £700 (4YR NCB Age 25) and my renewal for this year? Year Three: £1450 (5YR NCB Age 26)
stevie_b
Who's your insurer Gav? I'm not looking forward to my renewals based on evidence like this.
Snooze
Nothing has changed, re my points/accidents, so my circumstances are the same.. Are you sure your circumstances haven't changed?? For example - are you sure your car isn't more likely to be stolen, or damaged in a hit-and-run? Unfortunately, insurance has to take ALL of these kind of things into consideration. Oh fair point, perhaps some things have possibly changed in the loading, BUT that many to cause a rise of over 100%? They came back to me with £450 suprisingly. Gaz6002
It seems to be the accepted thing for insurance companies to do nowadays. They rely on you saying "screw it, I'll just renew anyway". Like phishing scams on the net, I think they play it as a numbers game. Imagine the amount of older people who wouldn't think twice, but insure their car again simply because they've used that company for years.
