Bullet For My Valentine's new album

One for the metal-heads out there...

Has anyone else heard Bullet For My Valentine's new album, Fever? If the answer's no and you're into metal, you need to go buy it now! iTunes has it here.

The intro to the first song sounds, to my ears at any rate, like an early-Metallica offering, which is high praise indeed! The whole album is ace, anyway: really heavy and with BFMV's unique sound - some entirely original but instantly recognisable riffs and lyrical styles. I love how they've stuck to what they do well rather than try to experiment and get it all wrong, which is the curse of so many bands.

Anyway. My ten pence done. Anyone else got any opinions?

They were always a messed up group of emo metal liked mostly by kids.

Perhaps true enough, but that doesn't mean the music's no good - just that so-called "rebellious" kids happen to buy the records. I think the sound, although recognisable, is a lot more mature now, to be fair.

"Cabaret"

"Christian Rap"

"Country"

"Folk"

"Gospel"

"Polka"

"Showtunes"

...Have I missed any? :innocent:

lol, you actually got 3 right

You missed a few like:

"Blackened Thrash Metal"

"Melodic Death Metal"

"Symphonic Black Metal"

"Goregrind"

and "Powerviolence" to name a few.

Some of it can be... but it's usually ruined as soon as the singing starts.

IMO of course ;)

But its not as bad as the current trend in "Folk Metal", "Battle Metal" or "Viking Metal" bollocks that's been coming out of Europe for the last few years.

Nah, Tears don't fall... even now that sounds a bit cheesy to me.

Much prefer Hayley Williams.

Going back to the bullet for my valentine album, i heard one of their songs on the radio today, " i'm not your enemy" or something like that lol, and yes i really like it, sounds of yesteryear , good old ROCK :guitar::guitar: :D

The song's actually called "The last fight."

I think that was the first single release from the new album, although I'm only basing that on it's popularity on iTunes by comparison to the rest of the album. Good track, but the best one in my opinion (IMO?) is the opener - "Your betrayal" - simply for the intro. Awesome! Play it loud!
