7 - Now, supercharged. Back with the original mini, I defer to sams' explanation.

10 - 2+2 means front seats and a laughable parcel shelf that masquerades as seating. Useless to anyone but Douglas Bader.

11 - AWD is, more strictly, permanent 4 wheel drive. 4x4 usually means you can switch between two or four wheel drive.

12 - see 11 ;)

13 - I think you mean "paint" :p Specifically, the introduction of metal flakes to the paint for a specific visual effect.

20 - I'm thinking more it means a formed one-piece shell rather than several bits bolted together or a ladder frame with cabin attached. I thought "Stressed member" meant 'a construction technique that supports structural load by using an object's exterior' but I could be wrong.

Dunno what LP stands for either!

Real smarty aren't we:eyebrows: only joking :D Nice try...but no cigar....see below. :innocent:

6 - LP stands for Longitudinale Posteriore, Lambo's name for engine position...

Si, is there ANYTHING that you DON'T know? :eyebrows:

to do with lower center of gravity and better weight distribution.

Doh, so technical :innocent: :D

OK No6 is a bit of a trick question as the 'S' means absolutely nowt and just a way to differentiate from a normal Cooper at the time. At the launch people speculated that it stood for Sport or Special but JC said it was nothing and just 'S'

btw all minis as with many cars in the 50's and 60's had SU carbs as standard, Minis had one Coopers and S's had two like MGB's and Three on big Healeys and Jags!

4. engine that have multiple pistons that all move in the horizontal plane

In fact a "boxer" means the opposing pistons move out and back in at the same point in the cycle. Some people confuse what's known as a Flat 4 with a boxer. The Porsche 917 is a flat-12 and not a boxer.

I think the Suburu Pretzels are all proper boxers.
