Chuffed - new job

Just secured myself what I think should turn out to be a really good job and opportunity for me for the next few years.

Am turning my back on contracting for a bit, but this should be worth it.

Well happy! I'd better put some effort back into the club now I can relax a bit. :)

Will sink a few beers tonight I think! :friday:

Congrats Steve! Is this one a bit closer to home?

Yeah a little bit - West Brom, 45 miles door to door which has taken me an hour each way in rush hour but they aren't against flexible working hours so I might be able to avoid some of that.

Nice one Steve, congratulations! :friday:

Cheers guys!

It's the [admittedly false] sense of a more secure income that means I can be more comitted to a f ew things now - for example getting a few things done on my Supra and getting that A1 as I want it to be. :)

I was surprised actually - there are a LOT of jobs out there ; contracting and permie.

Times may be hard, but not uniformly across the skills market.

I suppose you right. I guess it's easier if you've got a skill that's wanted on the market.
