Guest Martin F
A small tip.....avoid digital boost gauges, they are not easy to read when you are hurtling along at a fair pace. At least with an analogue gauge you can get a rough idea of boost pressure just from the needle's movement. Even better are the peak hold and warning gauges. I have an EGT and Boost gauge mounted in an a-pillar pod and have my boost warning set for 1.45kg\cm. Doesn't matter if i'm not looking at the gauge i soon notice that red light out of the corner of my eye if it comes on.

THOR Racing
Just a note regarding the TRL VFCC (FCD) that I make and sell. You are correct that the design does RAISE the fuel cut limit from the 11/12psi stock figure to an adjustablle figure normally set to 18/19psi). But you can also set this device to REMOVE the fuel cut as well. It's just rotating the "OVERBOOST" dial inside the box to position F. So if you do have the correct mods to go above 19psi safely then the VFCC will remove fuel cut as well. http://www.trlperformance.com/vfcc.html Best of both worlds. Snowman
Hi Pete Interesting. How are things? Who is the the new Dad thing going, still getting sleepless nights? What sort of money are we talking about for your box of tricks and where would you recommend it to be mounted?
THOR Racing
Interesting. How are things? Who is the the new Dad thing going, still getting sleepless nights? Fatherhood is great. He changes so quickly. He's nearly 8 weeks now. We share feeding him at 11pm, 4am, 7am and then the wife takes over and I feed when I can during the day. You get used to it. What sort of money are we talking about for your box of tricks and where would you recommend it to be mounted? The VFCC is £70+VAT+£5pnp = £87.25 and are in stock. The placement is always next to the ECU, under the passenger footrest/carpet. Details are on the site of how to install. TRL VFCC The new shop (and shopping baskets) should be up very soon where you can pay by cheque, internet bank transfer or Credit card (via PayPal).
