jackso11
I bought some of these in a group buy a few years back, di9dn't mount anything to the door cars. I mounted the brackets to the door and the speakers to the bracket. Easy Alpine Type-r fit behind the door card.
imi
Jackso Have you got pics of your install. Looking at Matt H pics, that is exactly what I was looking for however for whatever reason the brackets I had were NOT playing ball. Perhaps I wasnt seating them right...... Scott
Hi Scott Is this setup using the speaker brackets? This is what I mean by flush with the door card. imi Yeah mate, same brackets from the group buy. Yeah Matt, forgetting about the glass lol. Pretty sure it could still be done with shallow mounts though.
Bryan_Jones
I'd be up for a group buy. How much would it cost to make and send within the UK?
Scott
The original GB offered these at 31 inc paypal & pst, 35 was for satin black. Can you kindly have a read through the original thread specifically the issues that I was having with them: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=161152&page=2 If you can ensure that these brackets will allow me my infinity grills to line up properly then I will be interested if the price is adjusted. P.S: whats the point of these brackets anyway; is there a noticeable difference in sound by using these? imi The brackets were just a solid way of mounting 6.5" speakers mate. Not really anything asthetic or to do with sound. I made home made ones before buying them, using the template, and these ones were much more solid. With regards to your difficulty fitting them, I have a feeling you might have had them upside down? When they are the right way round they look upside down. I was confused with the fitting at first as my speakers didn't line up. It wasn't until I tried them "upside down" that they fitted perfectly. Scott
Depending how many are available they will always change hands easily enough. They are really hard to get so even if you still had no luck, you could sell them on easily enough. I mean, yeah.... the RMS trebles with these brackets
Guest van_damme_supra
CNC is how the originals were made Would you be able to match the original group buy price? If so you could sell quite a few sets, they are very popular. i don't know, i should have to find a way to get them in uk without post. i've bought a set as model just today and it's 20£ delivery.. for 100 sets i'd go to uk myself but don't think that's gonna happen
