gavin.starr
Ive got crappy nexen tyres on my car at the mo but they are wearing thin. On the front i have got falken 452's on. I want to get falken on the rears also but im having a little bit of an issue with the markings on the tyres. The nexen read 245/40 ZR18-89Y The falken on the net read 245/40 R18-89Y I understand that the R means Radial but what does the Z mean in ZR18. Does it make any difference that the Z isnt there. any help mould be great.

gavin.starr
Cheers for the link bud. I have done some more reading up and emailed a tyre company and they said that the Z is an old rating that is now no longer used.
