cloudder
Hi, Can anyone tell me if I can buy a fault code reader to plug into my 1993 mk4 N/A Auto??
devan
You can do it for free by shorting two pins in the 'diagnostics' socket in the engine bay, ill try and find which ones. devan
Right for my JSpec N/A Manaul you have to short out E1 and TE1 using a short length of cable/wire, so i assume its the same for an Auto (check with somebody else though before you go and carry this out), then you have to turn the ignition key to the second position and the engine management light will flash a certain amount of times and tell you your code, theres a list of fault codes on the forum somewhere.
