Scott
Here: http://www.rainbowincar.co.uk/ They are totally fantastic, and absolutely no distortion at ridiculous volumes too. Looking at them I would need to be spending £260 to get speakers in the same league as the Focals though.
Hassan
I have the focal KRX3 speakers they are the best 3way set up i have ever heard and owned.Focal simply make the best speakers in the world.Check out there beryllium range and you will get the drift.Even focals lower ranges are better than most companies top range stuff.I just spent £9k on my audio system and i went for all focal speakers and jl HD amps and jl w7 sub. tooquicktostop
No secret I am a big fan of Focals, Matt Harwood fitted them to one of my Supras and I have had them since, Just fitted them again the the Vette, fantastic quality for the money and would fit nothing else in this budget range
Abz
Wow, looks like quite a few of us use Focal's, you can't knock their quality.
Scott
To be honest I think I would be over the moon with either set but the Focals are definitely edging it for me so I'm going to go with what I proposed above. I can't justify the Rainbows that I would like but I can just about justify the Focals. By justify I mean lie!
caseys
I have a set of type r's with crossovers in the back quarters. It's not just your speakers though, it's pre-amp out, quality of the amp and also allcabling inbetween for signal etc. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this though Years ago I bought some very nice floorstanders for home and found they weren't that good. Then I changed the amp and suddenly a lot more range and response. I will admit though I haven't tried the focals but read good things about them. Scott
Yeah Si, my amp isn't going to be the best but it isn't going to be getting changed so I'm hoping that getting the better speakers will help a little I'm going from Vibe Slick 60's
AndrewOW
I think speakers by Pye or Clarion are quite good too, by the way.
