Matt H
Wow, retro. Probably would be a nightmare first car mind. Not only would it be a maintenance nightmare but it's probably not very safe, and lets face, young people crash more.

I completely agree with your comment on safety, but there won't be many cars available that will be as easy to work on. Spares availability is great, and all maintainence is fairly easy DIY. Would be a great 1st car to work on.
Thorin
Looks almost exactly the same as my first car that, well technically I had a mini before that but bought it as a non-runner, fixed it up, then sold it for much more than I'd paid for it before I'd even passed my test. Aye, it would be easy to work on I agree, but I was refering to the amount of time that you'll need to be under the hood or around the body doing stuff. It would be good I quess for someone mechanically minded I quess.

gavin.starr
No the little smiley was an old memory of my mate, when he had one, he had a long metal bar and a lump hammer in his car so that he could reach the startor moter to hit it when it didnt start. gavin.starr
All it needed was a new startor motor and it would have been an awsome car easy fix too but he just prefered hitting hitting it instead. He now has an rs2000 which he has almost finished.
