I'm immensely proud to call myself English, and British. I think it's a fascinating time right now and I'm enjoying watching my country unfold.

 

Who wouldn't love this country? Stunning scenery, brilliant driving, free health care, walfare support if you need it, beautiful women and incredible history. For me it speaks volumes that immigration has become such a problem, but not in the way most think. I reckon it shows what a great country we live in.

 

The situation with regards to the election is captivating. Many groups of people have vastly different takes on what should happen next.

 

First, we've got the militant racialists. No-one really agrees with militant racism do they? It's taboo to even talk about. I couldn't really comment, because I don't know any and suspect to a large extent they don't even exist, except in the minds of a few scaremongers.

 

Next, we have the BNP. Tied with the National Front, Combat 18 and other racist skinhead groups in the past (now there's a proper group of nutters), it's never managed to shift the links to extremism. No matter how many decent and fair sounding policies they release, they still get called racists and hate-mongers. Having a bumbling idiot of a front-man certainly doesn't help, but they're nowhere near the danger the media make out (as far as I can work out). Less of an extreme solution now that they're a real political party (for extreme, see above) but still controversial because of past ties. Let's be honest, they're never going to be able to mould that into a winning formula. However, I think it's a shame to think that our media, who should be there both to hold governments to account and to provide fair, accurate and contemporaneous reporting, are responsible for a basic breakdown of democratic ideals culminating in the three main parties being ring-fenced.

 

On to the fanatical anti-racists. Many of these have very little idea what they're getting so mad about, which provides me with a constant source of amusement (mentioning no names ). It's worth noting, just because you are able to read and digest your favourite polluted media dump of a newspaper, that doesn't mean you understand the issues or the facts behind the editorial party line. It's easy to shout at the TV or throw your keyboard at your monitor. It's much harder to smile, keep quiet, remain tolerant and actually do something constructive with your knowledge.

 

Unfortunately, I believe this rift between the parties above will result in a government not far removed from the one that called the election in the first place. It's a circle of lies and spin, constructed in part to keep us slaves of the norm.

 

That's my take, anyway.

Most people who are 'in the loop' on such subjects know that the BNP are sellouts to the mainstream.

Believe it or not, if you type Stormfront into Google you will find the largest White Nationalist forum. Id say it was torn 60/40 being pro Nick Griffin based on his past and present antics.

Dude, do you understand their are millions of "practising" Muslims in the UK? Billions around the world? I don't see how it is fair to just be picking on Muslims as they are currently in the media eye (The made up ones that is) & which area have you seen turned into Islam area? Thing is with Islam it doesn't matter what colour, creed, background you have...so how have you defined an Islam area?

 

Because of the multi cultural society in Britain we have such a strong economy. Yes some of the immigrant issues need to be sorted fast but do you even understand what the BNP want? To give you a small example of what could follow after the BNP is in power. The law firm I work for are now the largest in the middle east, if BNP gets there way then the firm in London & Milton Keynes would close losing over 700 Lawyers & 300 other staff. The company I use to work for has a huge amount of offices & employs over 10,000 people in the UK mainly accountants, they would lose a lot of business & then they would close in the UK which would then mean 10,000 unemployed in the UK. Yes I agree immigration is a problem, we all do but really is the BNP the best party to sort this out? Do we really need to make Great Britain into Grim Britain? My Muslim Grand Father who was in the British Army would turn in his grave to think this is what he fought for.

Dude Im sorry if I have offended you but my experience of other cultures has soured somewhat since I got arrested, now remember one of my best mates is a sikh. The cross off the church at Ford has had to be taken down..... because it offends some people!!!! We nolonger have bacon served as it offends certain people !!!!! Everyone pulls the Muslim card and the prison service jump!!! They have 'Black awareness week!!!! WTF!!! where is white awareness week!!!.

 

Im not anti Muslim....... I am anti any foreigner here taking my families hospital places and jobs etc and not contributing anything usefull to society be they pole, nigerian, icelandic!!! thats the great thing I dont discriminate, I dont want any foreigners turning up and overloading my health sevice etc, sorry dude thats my views and unlike in many 'other' cultures I can view them without fear of a linch mob popping round to behead me on national TV:blink:

I totally understand your anger & things like the cross being taken down that is very wrong. We are specifically told that we should respect other people's religion, belief & opinion. I can see where you are coming from & totally agree.

 

Last week I spent 3 hours in Hospital with my father in A&E for someone to see him (His diabetic) and we had druggies being seen before him even though his was in a bad state. I am paying nearly £1,000 a month in taxes & it pains me to see how these people who are self inflicting themselves sponging off the government. My father worked for 40 years of his life & hardly ever went to the doctors because he didn't want to make a fuss even last week I had to drag him there.
