dani_r
I'm looking to upgrade my JSpec brakes after my TT conversion last year! I've always had an issue with the brake setup on the car, and have never been pleased with it! I have a few quid at the moment and a friend of mine has the K-Sport 8 pots of his s14a. Does anyone have any advice or experience with these units? Also, I'm looking at the 356mm 8-pot option, is this gunna be a problem for 18x8.5j wheels on a +35 offset? Cheers Dan

Ricky49
I think UK spec brakes and decent pads are a better option than these K Sports. I have spoke to a few people that use them and I havnt heard a good comment about them.

MDSUPERSTAR
They are sold under many names, but yes they are quite good. The quality of the parts throughout the kit are very nice. You may find yourself wanting different pads (depending on personal taste).
Hassan
I have ordered a set for my car. 8pot 356 front and 6pot 330 rear. arrive in 5weeks. They ment to be really good. I had UK spec brakes and to be honest they arnt all that. After a few high speed runs they fade baddly and the feel of them is rubbish. So see how these Ksports go if not good then AP:eyebrows:
MDSUPERSTAR
Keep in mind there are several "brands" that are the exact same kit, they're all coming from the same place including several large name companies. The kits have directional veined 2 piece rotors, mounting brackets, stainless braided lines, calipers/pads, and all new bolts and hardware for the install. Very straight forward install, everything needed is there. I have 15" rotors (380mm) with 8pot calipers fitted, added a red powdercoat and had the rotor hats anodized black. Have another exact same set of the same on the way, as well as 14" 8pots that I'll be selling. Bought several sets at once direct from the manufacturer to meet the minimum order quantity to get myself matching rears, so I have 6pot 14" rears on the way with the shipment. I'll link these photos as they are quite large (US Supra): http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/Ready%20to%20ship%281%29.jpg http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/S5000798.JPG http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/S5000842.JPG http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/P1000496.JPG http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/S5000848.JPG http://www.aww-kittah-aww.com/up/files/3248/S5000839.JPG
pistonbroke
The Ksport 8 pots also have better inner wheel clearance than UK specs. I have UK specs and have looked into the K sports as an upgrade. My wheels only just clear UK calipers, but you get a few more mm with the Ksports.

Guest Carsten
But be careful, KSports isnt = KSports. Ksports UK and US isn´t the same as the original German Ksports!

pistonbroke
What size are your wheels if you don't mind me asking? They're 19", but it's the clearance from the spokes. The UK calipers are fatter than the Ksports.

I have new 18s that are 8.5j fronts with a +35 offset. I'd imagine they'll fit?
pistonbroke
my diameter is 19's, 8.5 +38. Its down to wheel design though mate.

I have spoke to a few people that use them and I havnt heard a good comment about them. Theres a user on Supraforums calles SKS who road races alot. He had the standard UK/US brake setup and he changed to K-Sport fronts and he said it was a great upgrade.
Guest Carsten
?? KSports Germany is the original KSports manufacturer. UK/US and Japan are copying KSports system. With less sustainable and worse parts. They are NOT BAD AT ALL!!! Dont get me wrong. They are just not the original german made KSports brakes. And yes this makes a difference! dani_r
I might go for these then! My friend works for a car parts supplier and has quoted me £670 all in for 8Pots with 356mm discs! He said they also might be a bit less, but he'll let me know.

I have never had the pad fade with fast road driving and I have a Medium sized single turbo, the only problem I have encountered is warping a very used set of discs.
