Blackie
So if a roof rack on a normal car makes it use more petrol as it pushes against the wind offering more resistance would a well kitted Supra offer less wind resistance there for using less petrol? Blackie
Obviously N/A's do about 1000 mpg anyway but LOOK like they can go fast

Ewen
I'm no aerodynamicist but I'd guess that the standard non-modified Supra shape creates less drag than the majority of the badly designed body kits out there. A standard Supra is also lighter than a kitted one, so its a double kluge I reckon. Have you tried coating it in KY Jelly and sticking five dead flies along the rear edge of the roof ? j_jza80
I've been told that both Top Secret and Yashio factory (although Yashio dont make Supra kits IIRC) test some of thier kits in the wind tunnel. Not Sure if this applies to the Supra kit though, although my old single did fantastic MPG for the performance.
Scott
Decent kits will be tested in a tunnel to check the downforce, not the friction. I don't think you could add anything to a car to aid petrol consumption..... other than tape. You could remove the wing mirrors, spoiler & window wipers though

snake
fit a roof rack to the supra and see what you get to the gallon and go from there.
Blackie
fit a roof rack to the supra and see what you get to the gallon and go from there. Where did you get the one on your Supra from Derick?
Supra Gaz
MILES per gallon, I'm measuring mine in yards, it at least sounds better, I did hear that about do-luck testing there kits in simulation etc from sumo power, mine certainly sticks to the ground (275 wide tyres help)
Blackie
mine certainly sticks to the ground i totally believe that my Veilside sideskirts channel air to my rear brakes with the aerodynamics
AndrewOW
I've heard that letting your tyres down makes it go faster, so better fuel economy. Or is that the other way round?
Scott
Where did you get the one on your Supra from Derick? They usually come from Veilside
Blackie
I've heard that letting your tyres down makes it go faster, so better fuel economy. Or is that the other way round? Not sure, I will try running flats when its back
Supra Gaz
Running low tyres gives you better traction as there is mote tyre surface area on the floor than usual, but more surface area means more friction so more drag, it won't make you go any faster, and it will ruin your tyres over time. Good tyres will help hugely though, I always buy the best I can, that reminds me I need some, arse
AndrewOW
Not sure, I will try running flats when its back You could, but I wouldn't try, unless you want your car resprayed again! How long will that be now?
