18 Inch Jade R's Staggered Set

SOLD.

Hello everyone.

I have decided to put my wheels up for sale as I may return to the original factory wheels.

These wheels were bought brand new by myself less than 7 months ago, and purchased from Team Dynamics themselves.

Team Dynamics are the manufacturers of these wheels for your information, as I know there is alot of confusion regarding who makes them.

Any way I paid exactly........

£648.60 for the wheels.

£713.70 (Receipt - 25/04/2009), covering roughly 3,000 miles only garaged in the winter never used in the wet.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

£31.72 for a set of Tri Lock Thatham approved specific angled locking nut set too. (Not Included and neither is the wheel nut set apologies, but now required for new wheels, SORRY!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wheels all balanced correctly with stick on inside wheel weights too, and sealed from new with MUC OFF Silica Wheel Seal.

So thats £1,394.02 this wheel and tyre set cost me.

I bought the tyres separate, so no dodgy cheap wheel and tyre package here my friends.

If you are thinking about buying some then your really better off buying these, as decent tyres will cost you a fortune.

2 x Front Team Dynamic Jade R's 18 x 8.5 Offset 35

(The front left N/S wheel has a very slight graze where I was trying to move the car close to a petrol pump to stretch the fuel line over as you do, just as I turned the wheel to the left and nudged forward to square up it rubbed the high fuel court curb. This was immediately repainted and you cant even hardly see it, will take a photo for you).

2 x Rear Team Dynamic Jade R's 18 x 9.5 Offset 35

Tyre sizes are as follows: -

225/40/R18Z TOT1R (PXT1-R 92Y) 8.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Fronts.

285/30/18Z TOT1R (T1R 97 Y XL) 9.5J & 35MM OFFSET - Rears.

Offset is perfect for the supra, and gives a nice agressive look with no rubbing at all.

The wheels are excellent as new condition (other than the mark described above) and are very light too, they are very well manufactured and come with all the centre caps too.

Tyres are specific to the car.

Toyo T1R's a really good tyre with loads of tread left on them.

If I cannot get this money for them, I will just keep them for spares.

I would prefer the buyer to collect as they will weigh a fair bit with tyres on them, and I wouldn't want them to get bashed.

Will sell the lot for £600. (See 'most recent post' Nut Set not included).

I must also add that I CAN'T let these go until next weekend, replacements on there way.

If the buyer would like them to be posted then thats on top at your cost.

Many Thanks for looking.

Any pics from the front or rear on looking along the side of the car? Would like to see how close they come to the widest point of the top of the wheel arch (if that makes sense?). My current wheels sit quite a way in and I want a more aggressive look.

I'm guessing they're big brakes you have on there so no worries on clearing UKs?

Your car looks lovely in the pics btw :)

I will answer all of your questions this evening, about to go and test the wheels out and take the photos you all require.......good thing the sun is out and its dry.

As my car is garaged, and doesn't get used if its wet.

think you will find that guy is offering 8.5 j all round staggerd tyres cheapy wheel nuts aswell for £789 .so with that you wont get this set for £789 as the rears are 9.5j.the wheel nuts wont corroad in 2 weeks either.

so with that said try and find out how much you can actually get these wheels for brand new before posting without reading the ad fully.:)

They are staggered bud....

Check the link here

I think I got mine from the same seller. You can upgrade the tyres/wheel nuts to whatever you want. You just pay the difference.

Bloody hell that is a good price indeed.

My wheels are brand new vitually, and the tyres done roughly 3,000 steady miles.

I keep my car in a garage and its a second car to me, and it doesn't come out in the rain at all.

All winter it has sat under cover.

If I can't sell them for £650, I will just keep them irrespective as a nice set of spares.

Already secured the £650, but that was if they cleared UK brakes........ which the following pictures will show they do. BUT......its so tight I would not advise running these with UK Brakes, too dangerous in my opinion.

You would need a 5 mm spacer for the front to easily clear, I will post up the pictures but it may take some time.

I must also add that i CAN'T let these go until next weekend, replacements on there way.

Okay with the help of BarneyBrendans fair hand........

2mm spacers would do fine buddy. I had about 1mm more than that on my last wheels and they were absolutely fine. I would have been even happier with 1mm more but they did the job without any hassle.

The good thing with 2mm spacers is they are just that.. spacers. They don't need to be hubcentric or any of that mallarky. A big washer with a bore and 5 holes basically :D

just noticed on the pics of the caliper, i do hope he's not driving the car as the pin that holds the pads in is coming out lol.

I will leave these as i dont like spacers and like you say they are dangerously close, thanks anyway bud, good luck with the sale.

No problem, I don't like spacers either, and personally wouldn't run them either.

So any J spec brake owners out there.......;)

Well spotted in the picture reference the pin, eagle eyes indeed.

Not sure if he is working on the brakes, I know he isn't driving it as its been off the road doing a Supercharger conversion for a good number of months.

Thanks for the heads up though......

I don't personally like spacers myself, but each to there own I guess I am sure a small one like you say isn't going to hurt.

Not like 15mm spacers are required is it, which would promote sheer stress on the studs.

The wheels believe it or not are very dirty in these pictures, you can see the brake dust in the up close shots.

They are always washed every week if the car is used, and I did treat them with Muck Seal and Coat fluid for easy cleaning inside

and out.

Last picture of inside the front wheel we took off: -
