smoothing caliper paint

Iv painted my calipers today and i was thinking could i smooth the paint real fluch with wet and dry before applying the supra caliper stickers?

 

Or would that really dull the paint?

 

Any thoughts?

It will dull the paint,unless you t cut it to a shine again,

could of just painted with hammerite smooth

Yep, the smooth version leaves a good finish. What did you use?

Or you could smooth it with wet and dry and then give it a thin coat of new smooth paint.

Could do but depending what he has used you really need to reapply layers of hammerite within 4-8 hours of the first coat for it to bond correctly

i used e-tec caliper paint

 

it smoths its self off quite well but i havent looked today at the results

Should be fine with 2 or 3 coats mate
