SteveR
Toyota has also now decided to aim for older buyers – aiming at buyers in their 40s rather than their 30s, as market research has apparently revealed that fewer younger buyers would be keen on the sporty coupe than Toyota originally predicted. 90% will be autos then
imi
90% will be autos then perfect fit for supra buyers
Suprab1
Could this now be the new supra? Suppose it still seems to cheap for the supra. It is a very nice car though.
Attero
Ah! I think it looks awesome actually. Wasn't keen on the concept but it looks good now. And the dashboard looks amazing. You'd expect to pay more for a sports car though surely? What are the official specs of it.
Gaz6002
TBH, that article means nothing. Autocar seem to be speculating wildly about the new '86, but it's all speculation. Who cares if its £25k? I bet it'll trounce the Audi TT, the Pug 308GTI and the VW Scirocco. Plus, it'll be RWD... aimed at older markets? I VERY much doubt that seeing as they're giving an '86 to any Japanese tuning firm who wants one. I've already seen one with a carbon bonnet and drifty graphics plastered over it. Don't worry Toyota fans, this thread is largely irrelevant.
Gaz6002
perfect fit for supra buyers Any idea what the term DCT means? It means conventional manual cars are old news.

Gaz6002
It's unlikely to look like that when it's released... the bonnet needs to be higher to pass pedestrian safety regulations.

marc_p
I'm not going to lie, I'd be tempted to get one, but the problem is the fact that if it's competing with the TT/Z4 price wise then the re-sale value will be a killer I would have thought. Attero
The zips are a bit strange. Probably easy access to the controls.

Ark
If it's running a Subaru Ej20, there will be a million engine mods available from day one.

How does Ferrari and the likes get away with low bonnets? Is there a fine that they just pay, cause they can?
