Lurch
Hello, I've got a Corsa with alloys wheel and locking wheel nuts but no locking wheel nut key. Luckily one of the wheels is steel so I can easily get 1 off. Question is... If I get it off, can anyone make a key? The key would nearly be basically a traingle. Its got a sleeve that spins round so hammer and chisle or locking wheel nut remover dont work well. Any help appreciated.
L18msy
Use a hammer and a small punch or chisel to cut the spinning collar off then use the wheel nut remover,Or weld an old wheel bolt to the lock nut. Take care not to burn the alloy though.
Lurch
Me old fella done it for me in the end. He welded the middle to build it up like you just suggested and put a reverse thread locking wheel nut remover on it. Brilliant idea, I would never of thought of it. Tried for hours with a hammer and chisle with no luck. Cheers for the advise though!
