northeast_supra
I've been offered a tt manual targa zx for £2100 in gun metal grey the car looks tidy and milage being 167k its just had a full service I fancy this as a bit of a toy and leave the supe as my daily but i've heard the zx often being referred to as a ticking time bomb as they're that unreliable and often prone to faults can anyone else shed some light on this maybe some of the bhp chasers as its a TT? Snooze
Can't you afford to upgrade to TT Supra if you've got £2k burning a hole? Or are you too attached to your current Supra?
northeast_supra
I`d love to bolt a turbo to my NA but it doesnt stop at being that simple, need bigger brakes, would need bigger alloys to fit the brakes, I would need to change the gearbox, then with diff's and props, I've emailed Keron about a conversion awaiting a reply, I would think about selling my supe or px'ing if i thought i could get a TT or single T but as to yet everything has been out of budget
Benyon
I would love to own a 300zx(fairlady) sometime, even thou the supra is a better car I would still love to own one. I think its more for heritage reasons thou.
northeast_supra
I love my supe but its cheaper to buy the zx and either keep my supe or sell it on than paying the extra for all the bits for mine then even more of labour
Dave
i think snooze meant sell your n/a and buy a TT

northeast_supra
i think snooze meant sell your n/a and buy a TT yeah i got that, thats why i said even if i sell my supe and put the 2k towards it i still wouldnt have enough the last two supes then went for 5.5k got snapped straight up How did your zx compare with the supe tony tt? You'd still be right at the bottom end of the auto TT market, I guess. Maybe 6-12 months more saving and market depreciation might close the gap? northeast_supra
Your not the only person to bring this up and apprently they dont handle as well as the supe :O I've decided to stay clear and stick with my NA with a possible Na/T as some point in the future, atm the moment looking to remove all the charva/asbo bits off it and replace it with DL
Dnk
A mate had a 300 and after seeing that with its problems etc i wouldnt touch one with very long stick, not in the same century as far as build quality goes compared to a mkiv.

Hobgoblin
What a small world we surfers live in! That is the car I bought about 2 weeks ago. A few small issues to sort, but running very well despite its mileage. Just a summer toy for me also.
