far
All of a sudden my IP address is starting to get blocked from some clients who have always been able to recieve my email previously, my IP address is with sky and I have logged a service desk issue with Baracuda to resolve this. They have come back and said 'This IP has been seen by Barracuda Central to transmit spam email in the past 30 days.' So does that mean anyone who has Sky broadband and has sent spam affects me? Or is that particular IP address only for my broadband? thanks Far
The-Plethora
I had the same issue (at work) we basically had to mail Barracuda and tell them we had taken remedial action and I think you pay a slight fee (£10) or so to remove your domain from any blacklist. We also joined emailreg.org which lets you see the status of your domain against others, not hugely useful for a personal point of view though I guess. TIA FAR
Martin J
Depends if you're on a static or dynamic IP. Not sure about Sky, but most ADSL services are dynamic unless you pay more or request a static at sign-up. So it could be that you just have picked up an IP that had been blocked when you re-connected to the link.

Martin J
Depends on how long it takes Sky to dish you out a new one really... Sorry don't know that one! You could check what IP you have, try to re-connect and see what happens I suppose, can't hurt.
