jackso11
I gave myself a blue dash conversion a while back, including blue LED's behind the standard dials. Now I have fitted metal monkey faces and the LED's now give real bright spots. What is the best way to get rid of them? back to original bulbs? or some kind of magic modification the the LED's like tin foil hats or something? Kev_A
you could try painting the tips with heat proof paint or keying them with wet and dry
jackso11
yes they have a blue filter. Will the stock bulbs be bright enough? or should I get white LEDs and defuse them in some way?
danhicks22
I was wondering this about my standard dash dials, actually. I've done the conversion on the dials and the light certainly isn't even. I do have the LEDs pointing directly out, would putting them sideways on make a difference? I've also done most of the heater control stuff (missing some resisitors for the rest) but my 3mm LEDs are almost green in comparison to the 5mm (some of them were even green in comparison to the other 3mm ones!). Will need to get some more and redo them, which is a bit of a pain.
Nodalmighty
Metal Monkey do special diffuser film to stop this. Try buying some and sticking it to the back of the dials. Lyndon.
