Wez
The APR rear wings appear to work pretty well and looking at the test results the 300 would be more suited than the 500 as its generates more downforce in a more usable range
ellis
not an aftermarket it was designed by Mr T http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b298/par96/supe004.jpg Copycat!!!
Abz
Sorry to hijack a little but is the TRD Spoiler any good then? Craig I am sure you won't like the TRD if you are not fond of the stock spoiler, though I think it works well with the Supra.
dr_jekyll
i dont really like any spoilers, but if it would improve my high speed stability i might have to go for function over looks

dr_jekyll
yea the brakes are spot on, ill get it in for a geo again and see how that goes
dr_jekyll
just digging this back up, over the few weeks i have had the geo re done , then redone again to bignum's spec, (big thanks for that) and the car is handleing verry well. mid - high speed corners are great , and brakeing is verry good . now this might just be me being verry fussy but at high speed small sharp direction changes still seem to unsettle the car, now i know changes at speed will unsettle any car but this is a little more than id like. do the huge ugly GT wings make an improvement to stability ? i knoticed paul wiffin and steve linton run these huge ugly wings and i dont think these put them on for the look and they clearly know how to set up a fast track car. Guest alan3579
Mr T spent a lot of time and money on the design if the supra, kinda think he knows what he is on about
dr_jekyll
true but my car is a far cry from how mr t left it , and its not being used as a grand torer road car as it was intended when it left the factory
j_jza80
I've experienced this braking problem in various Supras with the wing removed, and I had the geo done on my Supras many times. It's definately because of the spoiler. My single had a great huge GT wing on it (now fitted to RyanGs track car) As he will testify, it makes an enormous difference to braking stability and high speed direction changes. j_jza80
Never noticed any problems like this in mine and thats got no spoiler:OK: When the weather improves, try an emergency stop in a deserted area, you'll see what we mean. The back end picks up and squirms.
dr_jekyll
Never noticed any problems like this in mine and thats got no spoiler:OK: neither do i when the car was being used as a road car , but when it being pushed to its limits on a track you start to notice small details missing
Dnk
I've only noticed this once on my car without the wing but that was at 150 + and to be honest i think it was more down to the rd surface rather than anything else
Kilps
I hate getting stuck in Egyptian rivers. Either this was wasted on everyone else, or they didn't find it funny... it tickled me!
Gaz6002
Both Supras I've had have felt absolutely planted at the back end with a TRD spoiler on them. I know it isn't scientific but I've done silly speeds several times
downimpact
This definately adds down force, possibly too much at treble figures, but it is adjustable. I went back to stock as I prefer the look but this might do the job?
barneybrendan
I am going to change my full carbon trd for an apr 300/500 later more for the look than anything else. what is the difference between the 2 as they look identical. supradibbs
The only aftermarket kits etc i know that was proven to work was the Do-luck kit apparently they did alot of wind tunnel testing with there kits, i found now noticable changes when i switched from the TRD to the Do-Luck to be honest
Chris Wilson
Either this was wasted on everyone else, or they didn't find it funny... it tickled me! Purity is wasted in here, and in many hostelries from here to Timbuktu, (allegedly).
