Guest argy911
I saw a program once where the ashes from a volcano got in the air ducts of a plane and stalled one of the engines! They had to steer the plane with thrust from the other engine left and right !
Bobbeh
Im supposed to be flying to Vegas on Friday... its so not looking good, wouldn't feel confident flying even if it was on either at this rate!

You think that was good, you should search youtube and look for the one with the ash and the plane that lost all 4 engines! its got 4 parts andfrom geogrpahic channel i think. Search for 'Air Crash Investigation - All engines failed'. Alternatively, look HERE for the first part of the program - it's well worth watching. The Restorer
I wouldn't like to put money on it. http://www.radarvirtuel.com/ The grey is the current dust cloud. Looking at this atm there's a few BA flights doing lots of loops around the British Isles. They're determined to land at Heathrow but aren't able to get authorisation from the CAA. I hope they have enough fuel!
DaveR
Bloody volcano. I should be in Las Vegas right now, but instead I'm, uh, not. AND I'm having more done to my car at the moment because I was meant to be away so I haven't even got that with me to keep me entertained. I blame Iceland... Hope it all clears quickly, anyway.
